Great vegetarian & vegan restaurant

Right in the centre of Munich and close to attractions like Hofbräuhaus and Marienplatz. Vegelangelo is one of the best vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Munich. As it it small and cosy, the owner recommends reservations.

Rare vegan food in Munich, worth a visit!

Really nice unique food, great flavours. Lots of choice and quaint personal atmosphere. The owner is lovely and very helpful. Only downside, my partner could have eaten more, but I was more than satisfied. Unfortunately there is road works opposite and quite a busy road so sitting outside was a bit loud. But inside is lovely, and quirky.

A pleasure

Great place near Isartor serving freshly prepared vegetarian dishes in a cosy atmosphere. Food was fantastic, beer served in old steins, and the attention to detail in the decor and service was outstanding. A real pleasure.

Hidden gem

We were looking for the Chinese place which turned out to be closed and stumbled across this. So nice! Really cosy, lovely decoration, the attention to detail from the little cutlery stands on the table to the complimentary aftershave in the toilet, we were so happy the Chinese was closed and we ate delicious, healthy, nutritious food. Its also vegan friendly if you are that way. Very happy with our find!

The best vegetarian meal I have eaten anywhere

On a cold, rainy evening, we blew into this restaurant without a reservation, as it opened. Our host invited us in. This is her restaurant. On the night we visited, she made the food, served the food and waited on the tables. We started with tiny, crunchy rolls that were seeds wrapped in seaweed. Delicious! That was followed by a garlic-leaf, cream-based soup. Dinner was pasta in truffle sauce for one, artichoke hearts and tofu for the other. There was so much flavor in every bite. Desserts were goat cheese & pear and a plate of many individual tastes, from a fresh strawberry bursting with flavor to a (possibly vegan) mint gelato. This was not a meal - it was an experience. Service was leisurely and friendly. Wine by the glass was excellent. The dinner was intimate, as there are only a few tables. Be prepared to pay cash, and please do not do as we did: please make a reservation.

Fantastic vegetarian/vegan food and lovely people too!

Traveling with a mixture of vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs and vegetable phobic meat eaters, it wasn’t half a daunting task to find a suitable restaurant for our interraling group. However after a quick search online we were delighted to discover this place not too far from the center of Munich. The owners were very friendly teaching us some German phrases and happy to accommodate us even though we had no reservation, making space for our large group. The food was delicious with all enjoying their meal, shockingly even the vegetable phobic member of us! When the bill was brought out with some complimentary chocolates, when the owner discovered two of the party didn’t eat them because they were vegans she brought out two vegan jelly sweets for us instead. We were also given little painted wooden ladybirds, to remember our visit to Munich. I’m definitely planning on visiting again next time I’m in Munich and would recommend the vegan desert to those visiting, I don’t know what was in it but it was one of the best deserts I’ve ever eaten!

Best vegetarian in Munich!

We were thrilled to find a vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Munich. We saw reviews on TA and walked a couple of miles from our hotel to eat there. Let me tell you that the food was superb! I ordered eggplant parmesan and my husband ordered lentil soup. I have to say the eggplant was the best I have ever had. It had amazing depth and you could actually taste each ingredient. I don’t know how else to describe the dish. It was most excellent. My husband’s lentil soup was to die for. He loved it. The atmosphere was romantic/calm and welcoming. The owner/waitress was super nice and accommodating. I want to travel back to Munich just so I can eat there again. We were traveling all thru Europe and I gotta say this was the best meal of our trip!! Thanks for making our trip to Munich awesome!

A world of vegetarian surprises

Meeting with a old friend for dinner. The restaurant is both vegetarian and vegan friendly. There are abundant of choices for salad, soup, pasta and main dishes. There are also options of special drinks with ginger ingredient which are good for revitalization. The taste is awesome. The environment is cozy. This place is good for friends gathering as well as business dinner/lunch.

Gastronomic paradise in Munich!!

I had the pleasure of enjoying an excellent meal at Vegelangelo with a friend. The food was wonderful and the amibiance a delight! The curry soup was out of this world and the truffle pasta was rich and savory. It was the perfect meal on a cold night. I live in San Francisco and have eaten a number of excellent vegetarian meals. It is apparent that the owner is a very talented chef. My dinner was one of the best meals I have ever had at a vegetarian restaurant. This is a great place to bring a non vegetarian as they will be won over by the sumptuous food. If I lived in Munich I would be a regular. Be sure to make a reservation as the charming place is small. You don’t want to risk disappointment and be turned away at the door. Great meal,

Charming and delicious vegetarian meal

I stumbled in here travel-weary wanting a vegetarian meal and I was completely satisfied. It was a delicious 4 course prix-fixe, the proprietor spoke English, it was very quiet and beautiful inside.
