Excellent Falafel

My wife and I were wandering around the area and decided it was time for something to eat. When we saw the pictured menu and the prices we decided Sanabel would be a good place for a mid afternoon snack. We both went for Falafel wraps that were excellent. The Falafels were nice and moist and the wraps also had a good amount of salad in them. Another bonus was the size of the wraps, what started out as a mid afternoon snack turned into our main meal of the day as they filled us up for the rest of the day. Would definitely recommend and I’m sure we will be back for another meal during our stay in Berlin.

Best Falafels ever

Stumbled our way across this place between bars. The food was absolutely delicious and I’m not sure how I’m now going to move after my falafel-halloumiteller. If you like this style of cuisine eat here or get a wrap. Brilliant.

So so so good!

Best food I ate in a very long time! The chef was nice, food came fast and was very tasty. I absolutely loved the Haloumi and the Falafel. The sauces (spicy and garlic) were awesome as well. The place is pretty small... big groups will have problems to find enough seats, but smaller groups up to 4 people will have space :-)

Quality and Value = Happy

Quick, good selection, tasty food. The best place in the area for an authentic kebab or kofte. Highly recommended.

Best kebab place I have ever been to... they even adjust space level to what you want. Will definitely go everytime I am in Berlin

Delicious and very good value

I ordered a shawarma and it was delicious fresh grilled chicken with sesame paste, garlic, mango paste and salad wrapped in a wholemeal flatbread. Very filling and tasted great and all for 3.50 Euro

Best Couscous in Berlin

I am now reviewing Sanabel in Schlesische Strasse which is also owned by the same people than the one in Friedrichshain. Yes, they also have the usual delicious falafel BUT I can truely recommand their Couscous (either with chicken, lamb or vegetarian - approx. 7 EUR) and also the Lamb Kofta perfectly grilled on charcoal and served with a fresh salad and perfumed rice (approx. 7 EUR). Both meals are truely worth every eurocent and you will leave the place really full! The atmosphere is fine but rather for a quick lunch and not designed to sit there for hours slurping a drink. It’s real busy place for lunch but well worth the couple of minutes wait.
