Pleasant

A pleasant fine dining experience, with friendly staff, a good menu, a fine choice of wines. As a bonus a nice view on the river, AND the acoustics were good (so not too loud). The name Witlof is a joke that only Dutch people understand...

Amazing

The place is very cozy and warm, the staff is very kind and friendly. Obviously they are doing their job with love. The food was really delicious. If you go there you should definitely try the bread and butter as a beginning. you can think as "it’s just a butter, how good it can be" But trust me, it was ’wow’. The only minus side of the place, at sometime it can be very crowded because it is a small place.However it doesn’t make any of the five stars that I gave fall out. We celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday there, and it was an amazing dinner. Thank you so much!

Family diner

We went with the family (5 persons) to this cousy restaurant. It was a great experience. The staff is very friendly, relaxed and helpful. We started with a glas proseco. Then we all took the 5 dishes surprise menu with wine. All courses tasted great. The portions where good. Not to big but also not to less. I really loved the risotto with fish. One of the best restaurants in Nijmegen. We had great courses with fish and also the main-course with meat was super.

Delicious dishes for celebrating.

Opens at 4 o’clock for tea’s, appetizers and drinks or as we did, an early dinner after a long bike ride. It was quiet and slowly filled up. We all did different starters and found them very tasty with that little extra you want when eating out celebrating. I had been twice before and enjoyed the food on all occasions. It might become my favorite restaurant in Nijmegen.

The best meal I have had in years, maybe ever!

Even though I was dining alone, I felt well attended to. The chef explained every option in English for me and prepared a special meal of white asparagus and cod, he recommended a wine to go with it and a starter. This is a very special restaurant and I would have licked the plate clean if I could have!

Unbelievably good.

I always enjoy a surprise menu in the Netherlands. No difficult choices to make! The chef came to our table twice. Hands down a fantastic place.
