Delicious Flammküchen

Practically every eaterie in Strasbourg serves Flammküchen and we stopped here on a whim as we were passing by. Located in a lovely little corner of Petite-France. As soon as we sat down, we were warmly welcomed and served by the jolly, super-friendly owner, who appears to be fluent in several languages. The Flammküchen was so yumm, we wanted to go back for more the next day but timed it badly and the restaurant was closed for the afternoon. What a pity. We’ll definitely eat here again, next time we’re in Strasbourg.

Excellent traditional kitchen

Excellent traditional kitchen and wine. Very friendly personell, quick service and nice atmosphere. Take care, it closes between 2-5 p.m.

Lovely family-owned restaurant. It was a bit chaotic when I arrived, but it was Sunday lunchtime, so no surprise. The tarte flambé (chevre avec miel) was superb, as was the chocolate fondant I had for dessert. The beer was a bit too expensive, but nice (it was a seasonal special). And all that for just under 20 euros!

Our Favorite in 2 Weeks of Travel

My husband and I traveled for two weeks in both France and Switzerland. While researching our options in Strasbourg, I stumbled upon this restaurant on Trip Advisor. We added it to our list of places to potentially try. We’re so glad we did! The rösti was the best thing we had on our entire two-week trip, and we’re still talking about it! We had several other takes on it during our travels and they fell very flat comparably. We would highly recommend this - and highly recommend getting a reservation in advance. It fills up quickly and you don’t want to be turned away.

On a rainy night is Strasbourg, we stumbled upon Le Thomasien while walking the old streets of Le Petite France. The cosy ambiance was inviting; we were immediately warmly greeted by a lovely woman who was also our waitress..... so friendly, cheerful, and helpful. We each had a large fresh, very reasonably priced green salad and split an excellent Margherita pizza. An all around excellent restaurant - food and presentation, service, staff, value, atmosphere.

Flammkuchen à volanté :-)

The first place where I went and the all you can eat formula included all the Flammkuchen on the menu. Every ordee only took 3 or 4 minutes to arrive and they were delicious. As a vegetarian, they adapted the orders each time form me. The staff was super nice, sure place to go back

Wonderful service and genuine food

We visited this restaurant on a beautiful warm evening. The staff who served us were welcoming, polite, genuine and very kind. It is well priced and the food is pretty good. There is air conditioning inside. We had a lovely evening.

Great Flammkuchen!

I chanced on this restaurant rather late in the evening after a long day of travel, and its cheese flammkuchen was perfect!
