With only 5 tables this restaurant is mind blowing!

This restaurant is mind blowing. It only has 5 tables but the food is so good. The potatoes are so amazing and no words can explain. They are heaven. The duck is just beautiful too. Definitely go here. It is a hidden gem!

Merci Madame Giselle for this very special meal in Strasbourg!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at this small and quaint local establishment. My husband and I were on a Uniworld Rhine river cruise in late August with one of the stops being Strasbourg. Although we had very good food on the boat, it was so nice to wander off of the touristic beaten path near the cathedral and discover this tiny little restaurant ( by tiny I mean 1 madame, 1 chef and maybe 12 tables with kind of a gothic hunting theme vibe...loved it!). We were welcomed by the madame and seated. The menu was limited but no worries...we chose a 1/4 carafe of fabulous local Riesling for 7.50 (followed by another) and the daily menu for 2. Wow ...first a salad, then duck confit with potatoes I am still dreaming about (YOU MUST GO HERE AND HAVE THESE POTATOES) and dessert. Our bill was 40 euros. We had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Perfect evening

Our dinner at l’Ancienne Chapelle was by far the best of our week in Strasbourg. Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome by Madame, her wine recommendation, the historic décor, and, of course, the lovely presentation, quality and taste of the dishes. The foie gras was outstanding and all four mains were delicious: magret of duck with prunes, lamb shank, cassoulet (better even than what I have had in the Dordogne), and joue de boeuf. And the pommes frites were absolutely addictive. Although l’Ancienne Chapelle is not right in the tourist areas, it is a short walk across the Pont du Corbeau Bridge from Notre Dame Cathedral and should not be missed!

Wonderful Meal

We happened to walk past this restaurant when lunch was just about over. It looked cozy and we booked a table for dinner. The whole evening was a delight. The food was superb and the service charming and knowledgeable. We would definitely go there again when in Strasbourg.

If you like duck, you can’t miss this place

Delicious duck confit, very generous portions. Great, personal service. Good with kids - playground is right outside the restaurant. My husband was very satisfied with his lamb dish, and children enjoyed the chicken. Highly recommended.

if you like duck...

Duck is one of my favorites, and this restaurant in Strasbourg is at the top of the list. The ifrst four entrees featured duck, as well as two of the salads. Duck with prunes was great. the salad with smoked duck equally. It’s also not that expensive.

If you love Duck then you can’t miss this place

We stumbled upon this restaurant after finding several closed due to Christmas. Boy, this must be our lucky day as this quaint restaurant churns out fabulous Duck dishes that can cater for 8 at a go! Not only is this amazing but the advice that we received on accompanying wines and sides was astonishing. Our waitress was always attentive and very knowledgeable. We were spoilt and very appreciative of the excellent food that was shiatsu cooked with love. Thank you thank you thank you.

Truly wonderful tradional cuisine in Strasbourg

We found this small restaurant by chance and were happy to notice that we were the only "foreigners" dining. The speciality for the evening was canard and our party of four all tried variations of the same, much to our delight. The local pommes de terre salardaises was extremely tasty. The husband and wife team was very non intrusive and madame provide excellent wine recommendations to suit the duck. This trip we had ten days in France and this restaurant was equal number one. Cheerfully recommend to any discerning diner.
