Good Food, Drink and Open-Mic(rophone) Music

We went for the fabulous and generously sized Schnitzel and were lucky enough to get seated before the entire place filled to capacity for their Open-Mic Music evening. The food was delicious, and the cocktails had generous pours of spirits. Being there to experience the original songs, done in both German and English, gave us an insider’s look into young people’s lives, concerns and culture and meet a few locals. So much fun!

Great atmosphere, food and service

We had dinner here, including a starter and dessert. Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Small menu and fresh, local food.

Second trip to Berlin, Second Trip to Kindl Stuben

I really love this place! We ate at the Kindl Stuben in 2016 and when we returned to Berlin in June of 2017, it was at the top of my to-do list. Once again, I got the wiener-schnitzel, as did my friend. My wiener-schnitzel was a TEN, but hers was sort of grizzled. (I hope that was just a fluke.) The potato salad was perfect but the asparagus side order was a bit tough. I really like the ambiance of this small quaint restaurant/pub and one incidence of less-than-perfect wiener-schnitzel won’t keep me away next year.

Decent German food at fair prices

On the last night of our one week stay in Berlin, we were somehow after German food. Neukolnn area has plenty of oriental / middle east restaurants (ranging from kebab to more fancy), but we were happy to try this more ’traditional’ place (though it does seem to be a bit of a hipster hangout too). We dined on the pavement and the dishes were really delicious. Excellent price quality. The kids loved the mushroom spätzle (large portion to share), the parents loved the ’Maultaschen’ and the Schnitzel. Good address, fair prices. Good selection of beers (for more beers, try Das Gift around the corner). Can recommend!

If you’re a music fan...

I actually can’t stress how good this quiet little bar is. Within no time the delightful staff have come to remember our order and are a real pleasure to converse with. The artwork and vibe in the place exceptional. I only tried the soup from the food menu but it was good! Kill a couple of hours in here if you happen to be in the area, really chilled.

Really nuce place for quiet evening out

After being disappointed about early closing hours at most pubs and bars in Berlin, were happily surprised to find this place quitr busy on a Monday eve. after 9:00pm. Although small variety of food, the drinks selection is wide, the interior attractive amd the staff extremely friendly. A bit out of town so not sure about being worthwhile getting there especially from Berlin centre. However, if in the area anyway, definitely worth the visit .

Easygoing

Local bar with a warm feel, good music and comfort food. Nothing fancy, mellow chill seen. Very reasonable prices, I had dinner and a couple beers for €13.

Great little bar, good food

This bar is really fun, staff are great, venue is great, i happened to meet my associate here for a business meeting (with a few beers) and was very pleasantly surprised, i hadn’t though there was much in the way of bars in the middle of Sonnenallee and i was completely surprised, a little oasis along from my house, brilliant.
