Excellent

Our evening meal was delicious. Waiting team very efficient - you can tell they believe in what they are serving - loved the personal care taken by the owner - produce is sourced locally - excellent quality and lots of it! All for a very reasonable price!

Great spot to stop along the Rhine

Was in the area touring for the day and this was a great place to stop for lunch. Very comfortable patio space along the river. The food was very good as well the service.

Historischer Karmeliterhof - a gem on the Rhine

This beautifully simple whitewashed restaurant a couple of steps down from the street on the corner of Karmeliter strasse has a young a calm feel to it. The food cooked by ’Mutti’ an elegant and creative chef, is excellent, and the ambience was the best we felt in Boppard. Young professionals enjoying themselves, great waiting staff and a small menu to choose from of excellent local and seasonal fare. Dinner was excellent inside with a snappy dressing on the salad and lunch the following day was warm freshly made quiche, stuffed cauliflower and salads sitting outside overlooking the Rhine - and the added bonus people smile in this restaurant - I can see why!!!! Dont miss this little gem

Superb modern German fayre by the river rhine

As tourists we had no idea how to choose between all the river side restaurants. We also couldn’t even understand the menu so as the waiter was so friendly and managed to work out we didn’t want meat today but a fish and a vegetarian dish we sat here. Wow Stop eating meat for a day in Germany and you still win.!! We ordered some fish dish that came out like a Scandinavian style. Wow such pickling of the fish. The flavour was devine with buttered potatoes. The couscous was brought alive by its vegetables too. And local wine from the vineyard across the water. We odered spaghetti for the kids and this was so tasty the adults enjoyed too. Pesto in it was so perfect. German good deserves much more recognising! And wonderful service and views. Perfect.

Awesome.

Nice rhein river location. Excellent I door and outdoor options. Menu is hand written and quite artistic. We had a mixed salad , schnitzel toscana, and it was plenty for my wife and I. Delicious schnitzel with toasted cheese topping and wonderful noodles and arugula. I would visit again for sure. Waiter was super nice. Only cash though the day I was there. Bathroom is clean too. This is a well run place with a new and unique and awesome take on German cuisine.

Yummy and Local

My husband and I weren’t super hungry when we came across this restaurant, but we decided to share a meal and have a beer and wine. We shared the kohlrabi and potato dish and oh my! I’ve never had cooked cooked kohlrabi, but it was fantastic. I was told from another couple (locals I believe) that the food was all sourced locally. The portions from other guests looked huge, so we too the cue and shared a meal. It was more than enough. There is seating indoors and outdoors. The outdoor view is on the Rhine and lovely.
