Another couple and ourselves went out for dinner in Heerlen. After walking around and seeing a number of options we chose to eat at a small Indian restaurant on the edge of a busy cafe area. We were able to sit on the terrace - despite being a grey evening. We were immediately greeted and presented an extensive menu of options - presenting a wide array of choices - all clearly described allowing for informed decisions. Along with the menu we were given some freshly made papadam along with three excellent sauces in which to dip. Clearly a family operation one did immediately feel at home. Among the choices made were chicken korma, chicken makhani, combination dinner and, what I found to be an exceptional dish, a king prawn Danzsak curry (described as a Persian mild-medium curry. Each dish also was accompanied by rice and a light green salad (with a great house dressing). The combination dinner offered 4 servings - 2 pieces of tandoori chicken, chicken korma, a mild, mixed vegetable curry and another curry. Along with this, the other dishes were proclaimed to be excellent and quite delicious. I was beyond pleased with my selection which included 7 large king prawns cooked to perfection in a slight sweet and sour curry that included pineapple chunks and lentils in a red sauce. I’d never had this particular type of plate before and will be looking for it on other menus. In addition we ordered a selection of naan - again straight from the oven they were fantastic. The keema naan was studded by savory bits of lamb, the plain naan - like clouds and a sweet naan with a touch of coconut as a filling. All were brilliant examples of a great accompaniment to our dishes. The ingredients were clearly fresh, the cooking spot on. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wishes to avail themselves of a wide variety of starters, curries, tandori and side dishes.

This is a small family run Indian restaurant in the centre of Heerlen. It has a great menu and very friendly staff. The food is outstanding. Hilghly recommend this restaurant!

Entrance perhaps not inviting, but don’t hesitate to enter, even when indian food is new to you. The dal (lentil) soup is really the best soup we’ve ever tasted, the butter chicken a perfect (creamy, not spicy) dish for the not experienced, the kupta bhuna nice and tasty for vegan fans and the chicken tandoori a perfect classic form a real indian tandoori oven. Food is fresh, tasty and good value for money (and therefore very addictive;) We’ll be back and back and..

The India Home serves great Indian food. They have a wide choice of dishes including good desserts. Very friendly service. When you look for real good Indian food you will find it there!

Very nice small restaurant right in the center of Heerlen. We stopped by for a St. Valentines dinner there and it was very nice choice. Very quite and cosy atmosphere, a little bit of a darkness inside, candles on the tables... all in all feels really romantic. The service was fast and welcome. Amount of food which you get for the price paid is quite a lot. Three-course dinner is more than enough even if you are extremely hungry. The meat was very well cooked, very tender. Rice was perfect, and a home-made ice-cream as a desert was exactly what we needed.
