Homy and charming!
We were lucky to stay at Waldheim during our stay in Freiburg! Arriving from Florence, we were astonished with the serenity and calmness of this absolutely beautiful city. Waldheim is easily accessible, tram is literally just outside the building. Owners are both very kind and pleasant people, happy to chat. The rooms are clean and quiet, yet charming. A little brook runs right outside the room, granting a calm soundtrack for your stay. Breakfast is delicious and coffee is plenty. Bathrooms are dormitory, but very clean and they have several. Outside surroundings are dashing. Wide spread meadows and big hills with a rich variety of flora. Go visit the St. Lioba monastery, a ten-minute walk away, it has a lovely garden and view. We had a lovely time at charming Waldheim, in fact we ended up spending yet another night there, and we would strongly recommend it to anyone who’s going to Freiburg!

Great place to stay.
We stayed here when we were holidaying in Freiburg. It was right on the tram line so was easy to get in and out of town. We liked the town of Günterstal too and enjoyed looking around and being out of the busy city. It was quiet and peaceful, and felt like a friendly local hotel with a great atmosphere, food and drink. The host also spoke English, which was brilliant when we were very tired and struggling with our German! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Freiburg.

Very pleasant trip at Gasthaus Waldheim with very nice people!
I stayed one night at Gasthaus Waldheim. The House is small and with a lot of decoration. Do you want to stay in a very typical German hotel? Go to the Gasthaus! People are really nice and welcome you to their table without any problem. The room is small but very functional and VERY clean! You will find there typical old German decoration and toys for children. The owner is really funny and adorable, the staff even makes the effort to speak French! The price is very affordable, food really good: A Very good value for money!

Great place to stay
This hotel has parking just outside on the street, and is very convenient if you have a car. The town center is a short drive away, and is also close to other points of interests (mountains) in Frieburg. Very good service, and breakfast is available.
