Views and a super meal

Very good kitchen, fantastic staff and from the terrace, wonderful views. This is the place for a great eating experience combine with views over the valley. Reservations recommended, parking can be a problems. I had the best Zwiebelrostbraten - fried beef steak with fried onions, ever. All our friends were very happy with their meal. Highly, highly recommend.

Malayisches Huehnergericht

The Malaysian chicken dish is awesome. Curry, rice, baked bananas and other fruit. Even the salad includes fruit. Add the beautiful view from the dining rooms and terraces, plus the fact that the building includes a castle tower - perfect. We have had family events there, and everyone loved the location.

Go Early on a Rainy Day or Get a Reservation

I frequented this restaurant in the 1980’s when my Dad was stationed in Stuttgart with the US Army and I took my husband and daughter back on vacation. This restaurant was everything I remembered and more. The traditional maultaschen (a meat filled German ravioli, local Schwabian specialty) was the best I’ve had in the area. Even though it was rainy and foggy- the view was great, when the sun shines the view is incomparable.

Absolutely Outstanding

First of all, let me say what a beautiful restaurant this is and the views are amazing! The staff couldn’t have been better, especially our waitress that had spent 9 months in South Carolina, we really enjoyed talking to her. The food here is outstanding and I actually had the Cordon Bleu 5 times during our stay--it was so very very good, that I couldn’t get enough! This is the place to eat in Winnenden and the surrounding area and the Bauer family couldn’t have been nicer!!

Asparagus at its very best

This restaurant has a stupendous view over the valley and hills south of Stuttgart. You are dining while falcons circling the restaurant. The sunset is stunning. So far the description of the location. Actually it is a basic Swabian restaurant with e slight French touch. I had the Asparagus platter with a huge quantity of Asparagus and two sorts of local ham and tiny filets of veal. Together with a glass of Riesling you have for a reasonable price a dinner you will remember a long time.
