Brasserie Colette Tim Raue, Berlin

We came here for lunch, I didn’t expect much. But I was wrong! They have tasty menu (rather European, but still French). They have extensive, smart and impressive wine list. Their service is far better than in many famous Berlin restaurants. And their prices are still decent. Highly recommended. And I will definitely be back next time I am in Berlin.

Thank goodness Brasserie Tim Raue reopened on 1 September. A new Matre’d greeted the two of us promptly at 12.00. We waited until 15 September to sample the latest “special lunch menu.” As there are considerable building works in progress, we walked on the footpath along side KaDeVe. A little care is needled. Lunch opened with the usual cornichons which are always very delicious. Entrees: Monkfish terrine; Onion soup. Both dishes were impressive with the onion soup enhanced with a hint of chilli. The ball in the centre was the cheese brioche. The terrine was strikingly different in appearance from its meat/liver cousin. Brittany sea weed, sea buckthorn and chicory added considerable interest. A light dressing finished the fish. Main courses: Foie Gras duck breast; avocado salad. The duck breast was a small piece of sausage accompanied by mushroom confit, apple and onion. Both courses were interesting, with the flavour combinations, a feature of this restaurant, particularly notable. It was gratifying to see the re-engagement of a former staff member for the weekday lunch service. Brasserie Colette is back in business having lost none its Joie de Vivre and commitment to excellence. Thanks to the chef, his brigade, matre’d and staff.

A lunch offer available in single, double or three course meals. Chef Tim Maure and his team bring a Michelin level offer in a discreet yet booming part of Kudamm Berlin. Onion soup and St. Pierre are delicious. The restaurant is very reasonably priced for its offer and quality. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had a wonderful time here. The food was really good - clearly deserving of the Michelin Bib Gourmand. The atmosphere is very warm and contemporary - but not really loud. The gentleman who ran front of house was spectacular - great service, great attitude. We loved it.

We wanted to have lunch after Kadewe shopping in the morning and bumbed into Brasserie Colette next to great department store. The interior is pleasant and the staff is very polite and professional. We had lobster sandwich and pasta for lunch with some white wine. All woderfully prepared and delicious. Coffee gourmand comes with five pralines which are an excellent part of a great lunch. Highly recommended!
