A lucky find and a little gem!

We were staying at a hotel around the corner from Akropolis and found this place purely by chance. We decided to give it a go and did not regret our decision! Even though the restaurant was busy, the service was very polite, attentive, friendly and efficient. The menu offers a wide choice of Greek dishes and the food is well cooked and presented. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Also it is excellent value; me and my partner had a main course each along with a beer and a glass of wine, and that came to less than 25 euros! If I’m in Dortmund again I would definitely go back to this place.

For over 30 years friendly service and reliable quality

I have been coming here for over 30 years, to eat in but due to illness now more and more often to take away. The welcome is always friendly and the food does not disappoint. The whole family has their favourite, mine being the whole stuffed octopus with fries, tzaziki and a glass of Mavrodaphne wine. Gyros, Bifteki, lamb chops and Saganaki (grilled cheese) are also always a must. Unfortunately parking is sometimes difficult and there is no wheelchair access, but if we phone our order through we are given the time when it will be ready for collection and can enjoy the great Acropolis food at home.

perfect appatizer and the mean meal was perfect. nice loacation good service and good prizes. Family´s with kids are very welcome

Germany’s Greek Connection

I never expected good Greek food in Germany and my surprise turned into delight when I decided to go to Akropolis in Dortmund. A great choice of food and a pleasant ambience! The restaurant is also good to host small celebrations. In fact, if you would like to surprise your friends, you could not do better than gifting them a gift voucher to dine here. Your friends would love it. Being a chicken lover, I enjoyed the suflaki especially the cheese baked one. Much different from our Indian chicken nevertheless very very tasty! While you are there try the baked potato with garlic butter never mind your weight. I could not resist trying the cinnamon and lemon halva. My friend ever the weight watcher could not resist either and he tried the yogurt with nuts and honey. Both were delectable.
